Vote Cruelty Free has an EDM

3rd December 2009

Last week Nick Palmer MP tabled Early Day Motion 273 in the House of Commons on behalf of Vote Cruelty Free. It was co-sponsored by David Amess MP and Norman Baker MP and so has support from the main three parties. The motion welcomes the coalition and recognises the member groups and the issues they cover. It also calls on all prospective Parliamentary candidates to support Vote Cruelty Free by signing the pledge.

We are hoping that this EDM will bring the Vote Cruelty Free coalition to the attention of more MPs and lead to more MPs and PPCs signing the VCF pledge.

Even at this early stage 21 MPs have signed the motion and hopefully this number will continue to climb. To view the motion and the signatures you can go to http://edmi.parliament.uk/EDMi/EDMDetails.aspx?EDMID=39816&SESSION=903.
